Kala Balance is a guide to help cultivate well-being in body, mind, and spirit through daily and seasonal routines. Rooted in the ancient practices of Ayurveda, yoga, and herbalism, this can be a great holistic health resource that can be applied to each individual. Ayurveda believes every person needs to take into account their mind-body type, environment, and unique needs to create a schedule and lifestyle that is personalized for each individual. 

What is Kāla?

Kāla means time or death. Everything in the universe and the world around us is constantly changing. The day turnstone night, seasons change and even the years work in cycles. These cycles have become our concept of tie and from this perspective we learn everything has a process and is eternally evolving.

We can see that process in our own and each others lives since every living thing has a life cycle. We are born, we live out our days and eventually we are laid to rest.

Throughout our lives we learn lessons, come to realizations and kill off old habits, patterns and beliefs along the way.

 

A flower doesn’t bloom before it’s ready & neither will you or anyone around you. When you learn to live with the cycles & notice how nature doesn’t rush itself, you’ll begin to understand that you also need to be patient with yourself & others. You can only meet people where they are since everyone has their own Kāla or timing. Consider this while aiming to apply the Ayurvedic lifestyle. Go slow, apply things to your lifestyle that feels right & be nice to yourself.
